It's Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I was up on this wonderful Christmas Eve morning at 5:30 AM. Yes, I had to work today at 7 am. I'm sitting here at my desk at work, working really hard mind you, where I've had one phone call in an hour. Do I need to say it's going to be a......loooonnngggg............day? But I'm VERY excited it's Christmas. My whole life my family has celebrated on the 24th. So, as some people open presents and celebrate on Christmas Day, I guess I get 2 whole days of Christmas.

This year will be kinda mellow. Our last before a whole new adventure takes place. Next year at this time we will have a new little baby with us. Yes, Jed and I are expecting the last week in July. We are very excited and just hope and pray that everything keeps moving smoothly. We go to the Doctor on the 7th and will hear the heartbeat for the first time. What an amazing ordeal.

We will be spending today at Mom and Dads. They are going to pick up Gus this afternoon, while Jed and I are working. He will be so excited since he LOVES being with Nana and Papa. I think they secretly enjoy it to. But not enough to get their own, so they can share ours. =) While we were packing last night, to stay at M+Ds tonite, Gus could tell something was just a little off. He couldn't figure out why we were packing our things. He especially got curious when we were packing his bag. Boy did he follow me around. He didn't even let Jed out the door this morning to drive me to work without bee-lining to the car to come with. Won't he be excited with the next couple days.

Tomorrow we'll be spending the afternoon with Jed's family at his parents house in Northfield. That's why we thought it would be easier to just stay at M+Ds for the night and spend Christmas morning with them and go from there. Less driving on our 'Oh so snowy roads' we now have. WELCOME TO WINTER EVERYONE!!!!!!

Well It's now 9:15 am and I got another call in there and now I'm on break. Ugh! It's been such a tough day so far.

Merry Christmas Everyone. much love to all!!!!!!!

Here I am again................

So I woke up on this lovely Friday a couple weeks ago and when my Dad took me outside there was this white stuff...........EVERYWHERE. So I put my paw down in it, it was kinda cold and then I realized how much fun it could be. I LOVE THE COLD. I ride in the car in this weather with the windows down. Some of you might think I'm crazy, but have you seen how much fur I have. It gets hot under here. This is me sitting in front of the fan. I love how it blows on my face. It feels like a window open.

. Here I am just hanging out in the snow. Geez, i could sit out here for hours.
OK, Now they made me come in. Its SO fun. I can't wait til it snows again. They told me we have, like, 5 more months of that stuff. YIPPEE!!!

Our trip to Florida.....

This is a view from the boat we rented. Its a dog park on the beach. Its beautiful, but Gus would hate it, To Hot!!!

Jed and I went to Florida a couple weeks ago with our friends Jen and Josh. You never know what its gonna be like living in close quarters for a week with people you never traveled with before, but as luck would have it, it was a great success!!!!

We had a blast! Lots of laughs, drinks, more laughs, and did I mention drinks???

We got into town on a Sunday and made our way to the beach. We stopped at the Parrot Key restaurant on the beach. It was great as always. A great way to introduce Jen and Josh to the laid back environment of Ft Myer Beach. After dinner we headed to the condo to prepare our self for full relaxation.

The next day we visited my Gram. Shes 93 yrs young and still going strong. It was great to see her as always. I wish she lived closer or maybe I should go to Florida more often.....Now that's a thought, Hmmm

...

Josh with Grams dog, Peaches........

This is what the little sign on the front of the statue said. I guess some people wanted to get cozy with the Tiki guy. Good thing we can read............

We went to this new restaurant that opened on the beach. It was really good, but can't remember the name, But truly it was great! Jed and I were introduced to our new favorite cocktail, Orange soda. It consists of orange flavored vodka and lemon lime soda with an orange slice to boot. Jen and Josh opted for the umbrella drinks. Why not you're in Florida right???

Nice pinkie, Josh

So here we are, at the beach and driving a convertable, not to shabby huh?!!

I guess Josh was a little nervous........

Or was Jed putting the moves on again..............

Jen and I.......

The gang at Docs Beach House, with our favorite servers, Jodi and Sando..

Our driver, Jed, on the pontoon in the back waters. It was beautiful out...........

and with that said....................Safety should always be your top priority!!!!

Hoyt Cup Weekend..Lake City Yacht Club

Well, It's Sunday evening and we just got home from Lake City not to long ago. It was a great weekend! We took first in the Hoyt Cup, which is the last regatta of the year, that is named after a guy with the last name Hoyt. Hence the name Hoyt Cup...

Jed, Gus and I got down to LCYC on Friday night. It was Gus' first weekend on the boat. He did really well. He was a little nervous at first walking down the dock but got the hang of it.

Here I am in the V Berth where I'd like to be sleeping, BUT.........even though the cushions are waterproof.......mom and dad say the blankets are not.

I got to spend some quality time yesterday watching my Dad out sailing. Sorry the picture is so far away. They were going so fast it was hard to keep them in the view finder.

Gus had a lot of "firsts" this weekend. Being on the boat was a big one, being this is a big part of our summer weekends. He met a golden doodle named Wilson. He was a GIANT Gus. It was hilarious to watch them play. I think Wilson thought he had a shadow he just couldn't shake.

I don't think I've ever seen Gus that pooped out. With all the fresh air and playing much harder than usual he has slept every moment he can. But he got up today, still pretty tired, and gave a great effort and did it all over again today.

DauNae, Pam (my sis-in-law and mother-in-law) took the dogs to the beach. I wasn't sure what Gus would do but he had a blast. Kimball went straight to the water, and Gus, being the tag a long puppy that must do what the big kids do, tagged right along with him. He loved it!!!!

And at the water..............

Oh, by the way...did I mention when Gus was sniffing the nice bush in the middle of the beach that said bush was full of burrs!!! Poor guy, his face, under belly and front legs had quite a few stuck in his hair. But we got them out. Whew!!!

Bath time.

It was kinda rainy and wet out today. I guess I must have gotten a little messy when I was playing with my new Boxer friends, Floyd and Chuck. When I came into the house my Dad brought me straight upstairs and I had to take a bath. Now I'm all clean. hehehe until i go outside again and lay in the wet grass!! Here I go.........

My Weekly Birthday...

Well I'm 14 weeks old today. I get no hats, no balloons, just some puppy food in my bowl and my toys on the ground. But all in all, life is pretty great.

I've met LOTS of puppies and other dogs in my neighborhood so far since I've been home. They're all pretty cool. There is this one crazy little yorkie, just down the street, who's owner is just as crazy. The crazy owner says that I better watch out cuz he'll eat me. Uh, excuse me, I'm like 3x's your size, duh....
My neighbor, Ivy, shes a pug. Secretly really loves me but likes to play hard to get. Come on Baby, you me...you me.........We play pretty often.

The other day I met a boxer named Floyd, he's HUGE!!! He also has a new little brother, who's a boxer as well named Chuck. Hes my age. I played with them. I think they are the cool kids of the neighborhood.

The Ranch

Today is the second day of my new life. My parents loaded me up in the car and we head to something called "The Ranch". What this is I have no idea......but I think I will like it. Yep I love it!!!!! The Ranch is where my other grandparents live. Its 5 glorious acres of woods and fun. I can run all I want off my leash. This might be the best place on earth. When we get there I run into this huge brown dog. I soon find out that his name is Kimball and he is my cousin. He is a chocolate lab, and he wants nothing to do with me. I think I might be annoying him. All the humans are playing some game with colored balls and mallets. They call it croquet......I love The Ranch!!!!

8 weeks old, Im off to my new home..

It was a long ride down in the car of my breeders today. A lot of crying, uncertainty, and nerves. But I am SO excited to see my new Mom and Dad I can't even stand it! Oh, oh, here they are. Quick puff out your chest, hold your head high. Look at them they are so excited! Alright, I'm outta here, let the adventures begin. See you later everyone. I'm off on a new journey.

Our first stop was at Nana and Papas house, I guess they want to show me off. I am pretty cute if I say so myself. My Aunt and cousins were in town for awhile before they left for Japan, so they were pretty excited to meet m as well. We played A LOT!!!! Its so fun chasing little kids.

The day I was chosen..

Today was a little nerve racking. We were all to get baths to smell good and be presentable to the people that were gonna pick between us all. Of course they show up just as I'm supposed to get in the tub. But since its fun to be all messy, I guess they get to see who I really am. So here it goes. I walked up to the house in the arms of my breeder, and ya know what they loved me! All these oohs and ahhs, you know its kind of pathetic how these humans swoon over how cute we are. But after passing all of us back and forth and wondering why I was so small and light in color compared to my brothers, It was love at first site. At 3 weeks old I learned who my new parents would be. From that day, after they had left, I started dreaming of 'A Day in the Life of Gus'...........and so it begins.
